James Kew

Managing Partner

James has been part of Kew Law’s story almost from the very beginning and has played an integral role in the firm’s development since 2010. Having joined Kew Law directly from Law School as a graduate, he now oversees the firm’s development, operations, and strategy. As Head of Property, he has helped to build Kew Law’s reputation as one of the foremost and highly regarded property solicitors in Essex and Suffolk. He is also our Training Principal and Compliance Officer for Legal Practice.

Experience

James completed the Legal Practice Course at UWE Bristol in 2009 and joined the firm a year later. Over the past decade, he has played a key role in firm’s growth and expansion across Essex and recently into Suffolk. Since becoming Managing Partner in 2021, James has been a driving force for innovation within Kew Law. He has been responsible for ensuring the firm’s continued investment into remaining at the forefront of incorporating modern solutions and efficiencies in the legal sector whilst always maintaining the balance with traditional service values.

As a prominent business leader in the community, engagement and outreach are extremely important to James. He is Past Chairman of the Colchester Round Table 367 and has organised a number of charitable projects.
