Kew Law is seeking an experienced lawyer to join our expanding employment team, focusing on settlement agreement advice.
We currently advise on more than 200 settlement agreements every year, generating a significant and consistent stream of instructions.
This opportunity would suit a solicitor, chartered legal executive or consultant lawyer seeking referral-based work without the need to undertake contentious Employment Tribunal litigation.

Job Description
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will receive a regular flow of settlement agreement referrals and will be responsible for:
- Advising employees on proposed settlement agreements
- Providing the independent legal advice required to make agreements legally effective
- Signing adviser certificates where authorised to do so
- Negotiating improvements to financial and non-financial terms where appropriate
- Advising on restrictive covenants, confidentiality provisions and post-termination obligations
- Delivering excellent client care and efficient file management
Employment Tribunal and contentious employment litigation work will be referred internally to colleagues, allowing you to concentrate on advisory and settlement matters.
About You
You will be:
- A Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or other appropriately qualified lawyer able to provide independent legal advice on settlement agreements
- Experienced in employment law and settlement agreement work
- Commercial, pragmatic and client-focused
- Comfortable conducting appointments remotely and in person
- Able to work with minimal supervision
