Job Description
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced litigator capable of supporting our head of department in developing a substantial practice area.
You will:
- Manage and develop a high-quality litigation caseload
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers within the department
- Contribute to departmental strategy and business planning
- Develop existing client relationships and generate new opportunities
- Work closely with colleagues across property, private client, family and commercial teams
- Support the continued growth and development of the wider litigation offering
The caseload may include:
- Property litigation
- Commercial and contractual disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Partnership and shareholder disputes
- Contentious probate matters
- Landlord and tenant disputes
- Debt recovery
- General civil and commercial litigation
- Mediation and alternative dispute resolution
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates who:
- Have at least 8 years’ PQE, although applicants with less experience but a strong following will be considered
- Have a proven track record in litigation and dispute resolution
- Are confident managing complex and high-value matters
- Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- Possess excellent client relationship and networking skills
- Have commercial awareness and a growth mindset
- Can contribute to the strategic development of the practice
A following or proven business development track record would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
