Wills and Succession

There is no doubt that this can be a sensitive subject, but every adult should have a will. Even if a person may have lost the capacity to manage their own financial affairs – this does not always mean they have lost the capacity to make a Will (see Statutory Wills).

Not all wills are equal as some just don’t do the job at all! There are many non-solicitor will writing services offering apparently unbeatable prices whose only real concern may be to cross-sell you policies and funeral plans leaving you with a bill for many hundreds or thousands of pounds. Remember your will is the most important document you will ever sign so make sure it has been drafted by a qualified, experienced and above all independent solicitor.

Every Will should be tailored to suit your individual requirements. You may only need a very simple Will or you may require advice to minimise Inheritance Tax. At Kew Law our will writing partner has over thirty years experience in writing wills. Whether its tax planning, protecting children, second marriage situations or tax avoidance, we’ll make sure that you achieve what you want. Making a will with Kew Law will you give you a sense of security in the knowledge that you have organised for the worst eventuality.

Living Wills are different to ordinary Wills – they can be used to give an advanced decision, to refuse all or some forms of medical treatment in the event that you lose mental capacity in the future.

Kew Law has the knowledge and experience to prepare your Will at a cost you can afford.
